January 12, 2011

The People’s Hearing on Racism and Police Violence website is now up and running!

In the two years since Oscar Grant was killed, Oakland and Bay Area police have continued their reign of violence against our communities. The Hearing on Racism and Police Violence will finally be a chance for our communities to speak out on these issues.

Please explore this website and click the flyer to the right to get to the Facebook event page. This site will be regularly updated, so please check back in to find out the latest information about the People’s Hearing on Racism and State Violence.

Another example of small minded Propaganda. How about out rage for the people in Oakland who are running around with guns, selling drugs, abusing people. The police are purely reactive and in every instance of the police involved shootings it has been outward actions by the person who gets shot that led the police down that road. Should our police officers just stand there and get killed. Nothing is going to happen if someone follows what an officer asks of them. Trust me I’ve been there. If you feel the police officers actions were improper handle it afterwards, but every time you take outward actions towards the police they are forced to respond. It is a serious matter. I think most people know this whether they want to admit it or not. I know this will probably not get posted but that’s my two cents. I believe police can make mistakes as everyone is human, but I don’t think the Officers go out there with ill intent.
